Russian dinner.

Herring under fur coat. That would be the literal translation for this typical Russian salad I made. It looks very peculiar but tasted delicious (even if I say so myself). I followed this recipe: http://www.enjoyyourcooking.com/salads/herring-under-fur-coat-herring-salad.html

Salted cucumbers. They had been soaked in water with salt and garlic overnight. Yummy! Specially with a sip of vodka.

Salad of cucumbers, radish and green onion with sour cream (smetana). And Russian meat. Tasted smoky. Also yummy.

Sorrel soup.

There was also fried potatoes and mushroom, Russian caviar, paprika spread and Russian sweets. And of course vodka.
