Paris, je t'aime.

We had some days in Paris to attend the opening of Wieki Somers' new collection of lamps that Phil, Jonas, Charlie and others had been working on. We had time to visit the city's lovely streets, shops, cafés and museums. The rumors are true about Paris, it's stunning, it's buzzing and has something in the air that steals your heart. I loved it!

Jonas and Marijke were our travel mates and the company was thoroughly enjoyed. Let's do this again!

Please excuse some dark photos, I was using an analogue lens so had to do all the settings manually, which is quite a challenge in this automized technological era.

Charlie was one of the car colleagues on the way there.

The cute little flat we rented for one night in Menil.

Marijke makes tea.

Fancy tea pot!

Feeling at home.

Belleville. My favorite area in Paris.

It was hot so everyone was outside.

EVERYONE was outside.

You give, you receive.

Magali and I met after not seeing each other for three years.

Lovely Magali!

At the market people asked me to take photos of them and I complied.

Nice signs for fish.

Graffiti for a father.

Acting French.

"They smell so good! Like someone put something on them!"

Parc du Belleville with wonderful views.

Combing.

Carpet shop owner with silky haired dogs.

Walking, walking, walking.

A festival I would like to attend.

Triplets. Four eyes.

The national archives were somewhat magnifique.

Picnic next to Le Seine.

Yummy!

Nice job. These cases don't move from this spot, allowing the shop owners to display
their books nicely with no need to pack and unpack.

Apparently tennis is a very popular sport.

Centre Pompidou.

Grass graffiti.

Marijke doesn't look too sure about this sculpture at Le Grand Palais.

Impressed and confused by the moving mirrors at the Dynamo exhibition.

Phil enjoyed the blinding lights.

I'm a superstar.
Marijke and green light.

Marijke and green and pink light.
Marijke, Phil and I reflected in a hive-like mirror. Stunning!

Looking smokey.

Framed nature.

Perfect spot for a first date.

Bourellec brothers exhibition at Les Arts Decoratifs. I specially liked the drawings.

Alga room divider.

I didn't take my camera with me to Wieki Somer's show, but you should check the Kreo Gallery website to see her stunning "Mitate" lamps, inspired by Japanese forms. I've seen nothing like them. J'adore! (This photo is borrowed from the site.)

Warm weather and new hairdos.

I hardly dare to say that the warm weather has finally arrived because it's been so grey and cold lately with spontaneous sunny outbursts. But the forecast says this weather will last all week. Fingers crossed for the coming months to be as sunny as this!

Olives should always be around in my presence.

Charlie.

Jonas.

Marijke in her favorite colour.

Phil and his new hairdo.
