Intergalactic Lovers live at Rotown.

Last Saturday I enjoyed watching Intergalactic Lovers at Rotown. She has a beautiful voice and they sounded great live. I also liked her moves on stage, felt like getting up there and having a little dance myself.

Thank you, Dre, for sorting the ticket out. Lesson learned.

Last Friday my friend Masha showed two pieces of her work at Printroom, who kindly co-produced hers and a couple of more artists' flipbooks as part as Rotterdam Film Festival.

Claire organized a jumble sale at her place to get rid of your old clothes and replace them for other old clothes. It was fun and I succeeded in getting rid of stuff and not replacing it with other stuff to keep on filling my wardrobe.

Rotterdam before and after the bombing.

In the morning of 14 may 1940, a total of 90 bombers from squadron KG 45 dropped their full load of bombs on Rotterdam. Between 800-900 people were killed and 70.000 homeless. Aprox.25.000 homes,24 churches,2320 stores, 775 warehouses and 62 schools were destroyed. 

In the second image you can see the remaining buildings. 

Swan Market indoors.

This time I was a visitor at Swan Market. It was held indoors, in the old post office. 

It's one of the few buildings in Rotterdam that weren't bombed in the 2nd World War.

Minutes before seeing this view from the plane on my way back to The Netherlands, there was
a spectacular view of the wind turbines in the sea. I couldn't manage to take my camera out on time,

Feeling small.

The view of these massive chimneys at East Midlands Parkway was bizarre, scary and almost 

beautiful. They made me feel very small.

XXL Knitting.

My Christmas present to Phil was to participate in this workshop of XXL knitting, held in Barcelona, organized by Dudua. It was fun! Fast results, too!

Dear Floyd.

Dear Floyd, 

This time last year your mother was about to call me to tell me she had given birth to a perfectly healthy child. And my heart skipped a beat and a knot grew in my throat. You had come into our lives. A year of joy and giggles has followed and I love seeing every little (and big) change, even if some are through a computer screen. Happy birthday, lovely Floyd!
