I did a few of these, less than 20 I think. Also on kraft carboard. Click image for more detail.

Somewhere in Phoenix, Arizona.

I'm still quite fascinated by Google Street View.

Estilazo!

What a great find, Mr. Sartorialist!

The shoes! Wow!

Janneke's.

Where good music is played, nice furniture enjoyed, good conversation is had and yummy food is eaten.

Ryanna projects.

I liked lots of things about these pieces; the quality of the photos, the expressions of the models, the intelligent messages, the sense of humour and, specially, the attitude they have towards the terms "art" and "artist".

Some of the images are cropped, click to see the full version.

More here: http://www.ryannaprojects.com

We screenprint on Wednesdays.

Some day my prints will be finished.

Drie Dames in de Twaalf Heren

Ares, Mar and I went to have some drinks at this nice bar with wooden floors, Spanish speaking waiters, and generous apetizers. And my favourite chairs.
Check Mar's lovely, fluffy, pink jumper out with cute short sleeves.
The chair I was talking about.
(Photo by Mar, taken after having a couple of beers, as you can see by the blurriness of my face.)

The Math Maker.

Jan's cat right on the top of the chair Jan designed and built himself.
Gezellig.
Puzzles to be solved by others.
Jan's new game. Still not available in the stores.
His kitchen. He made us tea.
Phil listened carefully to Jan's tips about working with concrete.
One of my favourite chairs, usually in wood, but this time in steel.
Jan had an amazing garden that connected to a public one that he had worked on himself (with a subsidy the Gemeente gave him. How cool is that?) Many of his creations are to be found there.
He even sang to us!

In this bird house he had placed a camera to be able to watch the birds eat from his home, on a screen.

Phil and I went to visit Jan De Koning on Saturday. He very kindly opened the doors to his workshop (which is also his house) and showed us his newest inventions, also his oldest ones. It was amazing to see how passionate he is about what he does. I like it when people talk about what they do in a way that sounds like the rest of the world knows all about the matter too. Words such as icosidodecahedron and tetrahedron are in Jan's day to day language.

His creations are both beautiful and so clever. He must have an amazing sense of 3d to make these games and puzzles.

You can buy things straight off him or in Arabesk.

More good moments for the collection.

The cold breeze and warm sun on us.
Many yummy flavours for lunch at Lof der Zoetheid. Do go if you're in Rotterdam.
Jan showed us around his amazing workshop/home. This moment definitely deserves an individual post. Coming up soon.
Working on the bookshelves. Call me Drillmaster from now on. This also deserves another post, but first I have to finish sanding the shelves and cleaning them up a bit. (They already look AMAZING though!). I'm so happy we decided to make them, it was so nice to build something together. Thanks Philipito! (xxx)
Rainbow power!

Inside a cozy, warm place.
Museum night. (Bored artists?)
Do not pay attention to the balloon, Luce.

Poffertjes, exactly what we needed.
When it's sunny, I get a medussa on my wall in the afternoons.
