Summer in Barcelona.

I'm back. After the robbery at my house I somehow felt drawn away from posting on this blog, but I do miss being able to look back at what I've been up to in this visual (public) diary and be able to share with followers and friends.

So here we go again.

I spent a big chunk of the summer in Barcelona. I stayed long enough to fall in love with the city again, though I do have to say I'm in shock at what it's becoming in the more touristic areas, it's getting out of hand! Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSAPqGijeiY

It was so nice to have more time for friends and family and not be in a rush to cramp visits in.

Fotns de Montjuïc. We tend to experience more and more through our cameras and smart phones.

It was pretty packed at the Montjuïc fountains.

Finally a free man!

The Senders.

Lunch at my parents with all time friend, Andy.

Aperitivo is mostly my favourite part of the meal.

I met my lovely niece Naia. Here she is sleeping her life away.

Lovely sista.

Floyd is no longer a baby. He's a proper BOY!

Naia enjoying her very first bath. Look at her chuckle. Look at her.

Naia's not sure about this giant bunny next to her, watching her like a creep.

I visited the people at La Fanzinoteca with my friend Lola. They have collected an archive of zines and
created this cardboard trolley to take it places. They share and celebrate their zines with lots of people,

mostly around Catalunya.

Lola Abenza was also impressed.

I went to see my friend Jorge Penny who, together with his wife, has created the brand Lalala Toys. These
are small versions of their XXL creatures (like the size of what Jorge is holding). Visit their site to see their wonderful creations and consider having a crocheted version of yourself done by them!

Floyd at the park. Discovering the jungle, the mighty jungle.

I hadn't seen Jordi for about two years. It was about darn time!

My lovely and talented friends Marta Altés and Clara Cortés provide plenty of fun and giggles.

Dill says hi from the terrace.

Javi considering wether he should grow wings and fly up. Maybe some other day.

Ori, Alex, Marc, Leti.

Ori wouldn't trust Leti to try his bike so this was the solution.

Break in.

Our house was broken into. I've lost a bunch of stuff, not everything can be replaced.

London is such a show-off.

Pick Me Up fair was the perfect excuse for a visit to London. Visiting the fair just took up a few hours of my visit, the rest was quite leisurely, mostly filled with quality time with my uni friends Anna and Marta.

But before that, Puwaba night was the best welcome London could have offered to me. And these women were there:

Jack's wonderful views to greet us in the morning.

Jack, the wonderful host.
After a 24 hour recovery from Puwaba night, I was ready for Pick Me Up fair.

Nick Alston (this print is on the way to my house!)

I'm the proud owner of the print of the swimmers in the center
by Rob Bailey.

Hand made book by Rambharon Jha. Screen printed and hand bound.

It was a warm, sunny day!

Marta stylishly picks something out of her teeth.

Anna being photogenic, as per usual.

Siesta time!

Lots of giggles over the weekend.

Celebrating a yellow wall.

Here it wasn't that warm, English people just like living on the edge.

Making the city a bit greener.

Something was really funny here apparently.

London love scene.

We learned that we couldn't go up to The Shard restaurant in trainers.

Cuppa tea.

Marta giving feedback on an illustrated children's book.

Anna eating an imaginary sandwich.

Oh London...

Stop showing off, London.

Marta suspects something fishy about me.

Smiling for the handsome photographer.

We visited Marta's studio. This is her shared office!

Her tidy desk. Marta is working on her fifth book!
Check out her website, charming style and great sense of humour!

Dancing in the hallway.

Tiny people from the top floor of the Tate Modern.

Teeny tiny.

Matisse's paper cutouts at the Tate are exquisit. I was blown away by them.

So happy for Marta! Her book "I Am An Artist" was in the
Tate Modern bookshop! Whoop!

Very serious waiting girl.

Fish and chips at Sutton and Sons, where they fish the fish themselves.
Anna went for the healthy version, Marta and I went for the deep-fried-cholesterol one.
Mushy peas on the side.

Las guapas.

Nature taking over.

This was home for four days. Thank you so much, Jack!

¡Marta, Anna, soys maravillosas!
