I turned 30 in Antwerpen.

Shocking images of the tsunami in Japan at Antwerpen Central Station.

Book club façade.

Do not step out of that door.

Look at those "Q"s.

Belgian delicatessen.

St Anna tunnel and its curvy walls.

View from the left side of the city.

Phil rather enjoyed these chairs.

De Vagant.
De Vagant again.

Admiring beautiful presents: my Charlotte Wooning necklace from Phil and my bunny t-shirt from Janneke.
They had all this yellow yarn lying around their home, so they decided to use it up.
After a delicious birthday breakfast Phil and I had a nap in the sun.
Beloved coffee.
Chair graveyard.

Book store.
Botanical garden.
Handsome young man on a bench in the botanical garden.
Awesome wall painting in the green house.

Special thanks to Aline for letting us use her room. It was a special birthday indeed. But then anywhere would have been very special with this company.

Can't wait to kiss his shiny little bald head!

Es-cá-ner! Uaallla!

Imponente.

Rotterdamse Museumnacht.

The opening of Museum Night was a light and sound performance by Edwin van der Heide. This was probably what I liked best of the whole night.
This beautiful wooden sculptures on Witte de With came to life with projections shining on them.
Conxa got trapped in the fairy tail world of Abner Pris at the Showroom Mama. She was an astronaut,

a circus weightlifter,
and a... a mermaid rider.
Mops turned into art at Witte de With museum.
Eating poffertjes in a very uncomfortable cabin.
Conxa tried poffertjes for the first time. No, they are not served with peanut butter.
At the Boijmans van Beuningen.

Little suffering people by Nathalie Djurberg.
Finding the beauty in science. This exhibition is by Prof. dr. Hans Galjaard.
The Peanut Butter platform by Wim T. Schippers. Gerard said it's every Dutch person's dream to roll around in peanut butter set out like this. That's why the security guard was paying such close attention to people's movements.

Sad little creature in formol at the Natuurhistorisch Museum.
We found the perfect spot to end the night.

Carmen Segovia.

I think I've had enough of human figures with animal heads. But I still managed to like these.

Wide awake.

Hello sunshine!

Two sunny days in a row, what a treat!

"Wel oud, niet seniel" online!

Janneke and I have been working on this project for a while now. Today is a happy day for us both: the project is finally alive, online and visible for everyone to see! Janneke is doing such a beatiful job of capturing all these interesting old Rotterdamers lifestyles. You can suscribe to the weekly posts of videos through the website. Hope you enjoy the first portrait!
