Time to get pro.

My blog doesn't show much of what I'm up to with work. That wasn't the intention when I started it, but I realized it's sort of what people expect from a graphic designer's / illustrator's blog nowadays. I've also found myself missing a chronological view of photos of what I've been up to with work. I like looking through this blog as a visual diary of my life, but it's not all fun and games as it looks like on here! There is also work being done from the same computer where I post about all the leisurely activities I'm up to.

So some days ago I started posting on my new WORK BLOG! I will try to keep it up to date with my current projects and professional adventures.

I still have to spruce the design up a bit, but this will have to do for now:

Wilde Dieren.

Surprising technique, stunning results!

Weekend with my dear Leti.

Leti came again this year, staying true to her yearly visit. Her company is very much appreciated, of course, and makes me both happy and sad. Happy because it's wonderful to spend quality time with her and sad because it becomes more obvious how far she is when it's time for her to go. I miss her already.

We enjoyed a full couple of days despite the wind, rain and cold. I'm proud of Leti, who almost has a phobia towards cold.

Rotterdamse Oogst Festival. This machine in form of a canyon was an invention to chop potatoes.

Local veggies.

Jan, the Math Maker, was there too. I spoke about him some time ago in this post:

Risograph workshop.

PrintRoom organized a risograph workshop as part of the Witte de With festival in Rotterdam. I was very excited when I heard about it and joined right away! I was very curious to see the quality of the prints with my illustrations and was definitely not disappointed. PrintRoom offers its risograph machines for rent on an hourly rate, I might look into getting some more things printed in the future. It's a very fast and cheap way of getting nice prints. And the result is very similar to screen prints. I will be doing this again in the future, for sure.

Look how fast the prints come out!

A few tests I did with the drawings and photos done during the illustration workshop this summer.
